Next Phone: iPhone 4 or HTC Desire HD?

The more I looked at the iDiGi plan, the more I am interested/poisoned towards iPhone 4. But make no mistake, Desire HD is also… desirable. I had…er…having a taste of the Android 2.2 OS when replace/hacked my HTC HD2 to not run the dying operating system, instead booting to the HTC Desire Froyo 2.2.

And I must say, I am totally impressed with what HTC did (Sense) on Android, albeit it runs a little bit unstable as it was not designed for HD2.

Just updated to 3.0. Cool update i must say. Even though I’m using the original iPhone. Damn I need a data plan.

iPhone upcoming firmware 3.0

I’ve expressed my disappointment before with the iPhone, but after seeing this link, I am quite impressed. It is not as full featured like an HTC phone, but it looks like its getting back on track again.

The feature that should get the attention is Copy & Paste, MMS, as well as Spotlight search.

Copy & Paste:
How in the world this feature was missing in the first place? Well now you can forward your sms, and even copy & paste at the SMS/Notes. WooHoo. Yay.

MMS:
A camera phone with PDA features, but no MMS? Luckily for 3.0, there will be MMS. Unfortunately, the MMS feature will only available on an iPhone 3G. Not like mine the 2G. Hmmm. Buy an iPhone 3G?

Spotlight:
The search engine from OSX, at least now I won’t need to scroll to find my SMS.

Don’t get me wrong. The update is worthy for the iPhone to be competitve with other advance phones and open up more audience.

Typical Apple.

Testing from dopod 838pro

Hi all. It’s been a while. As the title suggest, I’m posting right now right from the device. It’s taking some time to get used to the qwerty keyboard, but very useful for a mobile device. Tomorrow’s a big day, as I am going to do some major refactoring on some very complex code. sheesh. This can be avoided if I’ve managed to detect the code earlier. Officially, if any developed application is not compatible with the backend, then I’m to blame. Even though the problem could be solved if they taken a while to figure out what’s the root problem, and fix it accordingly. Damn, sometimes it’s also hard to be so damn good.
