Kubuntu 9.04

This is my second time installing the os. Basically the Intel Graphics that I use screw up big time as the drivers used are not stable. Gonna give it another shot.

Running Windows From Ubuntu

Well, here’s the thing. In Ubuntu 7.04, I think there’s an application called Terminal Server Client. It’s located under Applications->Internet. I found this by accident actually. Actually, I wanted to use gnome-rdp, but I can’t seem to make it work. Then I noticed the Terminal Server Client. Try to connect to the Windows XP box, and whalla, instant remote desktop connection

Vista Home Basic overview

I’ve finally got windows vista home basic from dell yesterday for my dell 640m. And have been tinkering with it. I’ve seen the home premium, and yet to see the advantage of Aero for normal use. My Vista Home Basic also sports 3D acceleration mind you, but with no so called “desktop effects” like Flip-3D and transparent windows, Which I think I won’t be bother with. Anyhow, quite satisfied with this operating system. But will not make me not to try Ubuntu 7.04. Downloaded it, and yet to install in my laptop. Probably this weekend? stay tuned..
